Technology continues to shape our lives more so each year as new hardware and software make their ways into our everyday lives. With the recent trends in gaming making way for more widespread usage of virtual reality headsets, we find that augmented reality has captured the attention of most individuals who own smartphone devices. As these technologies continue to develop and become adopted by society, we don't realize that more of society's institutions are taking advantage of the emerging tech as well. Jenifer Elizondo is a student at Rutgers University, graduating in 2018 as a Communication major, with a specialization in Leadership in Organizations and Community, and a minor in Digital Communication, Information, and Media (DCIM). Following graduation, she is looking to pursue a career as a producer/editor for entertainment television. She is currently a Production Manager at the Rutgers Television Network and a Syfy Creative Intern. Her passions include video storytelling, anime, comics, and makeup!
